This past week, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the premiere of Just Hands: For the Love of Racing — a powerful new docuseries now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Hosted by the non-profit organization, Just Hands, this experience was equal parts emotional, luxurious, and adrenaline-filled.

A Moving Docuseries: Just Hands Featuring Torsten Gross
If you’re looking for a story that will move you to your core, look no further than Just Hands. The series follows Torsten Gross, a record-breaking quadriplegic athlete, as he breaks barriers in the world of motorsports. From the very first scene, it’s clear: this isn’t just about racing — it’s about resilience, passion, and redefining what’s possible.

Torsten’s journey is raw, real, and uplifting.
The series delivers the full emotional ride — you’ll laugh, cry, and walk away incredibly inspired. Torsten is a C6 quadriplegic who was paralyzed in a diving accident at age 15 in 1994, but his passion for speed and extreme activities never slowed down. He’s the world’s only quadriplegic Rescue Scuba Diver and even completed 12 marathons in 12 months in 2016. His path into motorsports came naturally—after moving just seven miles from Lime Rock Park in Sharon, CT, his wife surprised him with a track day for their anniversary, sparking a love for racing that matched his lifelong need for speed. Today, Torsten spends as much time on track as possible, taking part in HPDEs, time trials, and preparing for wheel-to-wheel competition. He also has a nonprofit, Just Hands that is making it possible for hand-controlled drivers to experience the race tracks.
Just Hands is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video, and it’s a must-watch for motorsport fans, disability advocates, and anyone who loves a good underdog story.

Driving the 2025 VW Golf R: A Performance Jubilee
The next morning, I hit the road behind the wheel of the 2025 Volkswagen Golf R, and let’s just say — it was joy at first drive. With sharp handling, exhilarating acceleration, and the kind of smooth ride that turns every trip into a joyride, this hatchback continues to raise the bar.
For 2025, the VW Golf R comes in two trims: the standard model and a new Black Edition featuring sleek black accents, badging, and carbon fiber interior details. Buyers can also opt for the Euro Style Package, which sheds nearly 80 pounds with lightweight sport seats, a sunroof delete, and an Akrapovič™ titanium exhaust. Pricing starts at $47,100 plus a $1,225 destination fee.

The Golf R blends high performance with refined practicality.
Whether you’re navigating winding country roads or city streets, it’s engineered to thrill. Check out my review on YouTube.
The 2025 VW Golf R is a must-drive for anyone looking for performance, innovation, and all-wheel-drive confidence in a sleek and sporty package.
From an incredibly moving premiere to a luxurious stay and an unforgettable drive, this experience reminded me just how many ways motivation, adventure, and beauty can show up in a single weekend. Thank you VW for hosting!
