It’s the holiday season and we’re kicking it off in the Lincoln Corsair. The most comfortable, luxe ride you could possibly take into the city. Heated, massaging seats, a quiet (filtered) cabin, perfect surround sound. A passenger princesses dream. Here’s how we kicked off the holiday season and got to do some of our annual holiday traditions in the Lincoln Corsair.

There is nothing like Christmas in New York.

Every store is magically adorned, it’s the work only Santa’s helpers can achieve. Rockefeller center is filled with tourists and locals alike. Truthfully, the greatest perk about living in New Jersey is being able to get to the city within an hour. Our family holiday traditions always include the Rockettes, the famous tree, viewing the window displays and light show at Saks, a stop at F.A.O. Schwartz and more. And it’s an easy ride from the city to Dyker Heights, too.

But first, let’s get the Corsair holiday ready.

We began adorning the car with reindeer antlers and a big red nose. a few years ago at our daughter’s request. Christmas is her favorite holiday and it made her so happy. This year, as a joke, we even added an inflatable Buddy the Elf to the car. I was not always this into Christmas until I became a mom and saw the joy it brought my daughter. You can say I’m more classic… and she’s more cheesy over the top fun. But I wouldn’t have it any other way, it’s good to have a little fun sometimes.

The Rockettes sure know how to kick off the season.

See what I did there? This show never gets old. No matter how many times we’ve seen it, my kid’s eyes always light up. Ever since she was only three years old, she fell in love with the “kicking dance” as she used to call it. She’s seventeen now and still gets excited for the Christmas Spectacular.

The city lights are magical.

There are so many great places to see holiday lights in the city. Driving in makes it easier to see more. And of course, there are places worth parking and getting out to explore. We visited the Hudson Yards which does a beautiful balloon light display inside. We also stopped at the Lotte hotel- there’s a beautifully decorated tree and you can go inside the lobby to see the decor. If you’re okay with crowds, The shops on 5th avenue are adorned inside out and you can catch the tree at Rockefeller center. We opted to drive by since the crowds were pretty crazy.

Holiday shopping in the Lincoln is just something else.

The holiday season is quite stressful as is. Running from store to store, remembering the gift wrap supplies, and getting everyone’s sizes and interests. It’s not all fun and games. Plus, you know…life. But getting it done in the Corsair hits different. Massaging seats for when you need to work out the kinks, a quite cabin, great speaker system- you can really take a minute and relax in this car.
