This year, Mother’s Day couldn’t have been a lovlier day. 84 degree weather, perfect for a stroll in the park. Only it had to be a short one because my little one has pretty bad allergies. But she was a trooper and did her best to make me feel special. I was showered with gifts in the morning – from crafts, baked goodies to clothing and jewelry. How sweet it is to be a mommy of the best little girl in the world.
What Mother’s Day means to me
To me, Mother’s Day doesn’t feel like it’s a holiday for me. I think of my mom and then I remember- I hold the title as well. I now know the important role of being a mom and all the pride, joy, worries and fears my mom had for me. Becoming a mother changed me in ways I could never imagine. My daughter has taught me unconditional love, how to see things with an open mind and a light heart, and how important it is to do little things like create art or be an advocate for showing kindness to animals. And so much more. It has been quite an adventure with her and I watch her grow with excitement (at the same time it’s bittersweet) as she becomes this amazing little person…
It was surely a nice feeling to be able to throw on a dress and some wedges. For this look, I paired a soft denim dress with a statement necklace, wedge heels and a blazer. I used soft colors like light denim and blush pink. But then I made it pop with a strawberry colored lip and added my jersey girl animal print with a zebra wedge by Michael Kors.
My little one is wearing a denim overall dress by Justice, wedges by Gap kids, top by Old Navy, headband & shades by Claire’s.
