I love dressing up but I love feeling free and comfortable in what I wear. When going into the city, I opt for pieces that can be dressed up and down. For example, boyfriend jeans. Wear them on a night out with pumps or switch into flats or flip-flops to walk around the city and explore.

A good pair of pumps is a must-have.
If you think I parade in the city with heels all day, think again. I have bad feet and can’t mess around like that. I learned the hard way years ago when dating my husband. My feet were in so much pain from wearing heels to the city, he had to carry me, get me a cab, and take me to buy a pair of flip-flops. But the pain was so bad still, it was quite a torturous day. So when it comes to pumps, they MUST be comfortable. And I carry a pair of flats or sandals in my bag because there’s just no way I will be waltzing around the streets of New York City in heels all day again.
