Netflix is in the holiday spirit again and we couldn’t be more excited! And by we I mean my daughter and me. If you read my last holiday movie post, I shared that Christmas movies have become our thing every holiday season. And after watching a few of Netflix’s trailers- OMG! We just can’t wait! Here’s my Netflix holiday top picks list for 2019.

Netflix Holiday Top Picks List for 2019

‘Holiday in the Wild’ 2019 Netflix (Netflix)

Holiday in the Wild

Starring: Kristin Davis and Rob Lowe. I’ve already watched this movie twice and LOVE it. I’m not sure if it’s because I missed seeing Kristin Davis in SITC or my love for elephants. It’s a holiday love story (duh) about a woman (Kate Conrad) whose husband leaves her right after their only son goes off to college. They had a safari second honeymoon planned which she ends up taking alone. While on this trip, Kate finds herself again and connects with a baby elephant she helps rescue. The story is so beautiful…just watch it. Tip: Grab the tissues!

‘The Christmas Break-In’ on Netflix (Netflix)

The Christmas Break-In

Starring: Danny Glover, Denise Richards, and Cameron Seely. Ok, a little predictable but fun to watch with the family. A little girl who is obsessed with music looks forward to the last day of school before Christmas break. Her parents promised to take her to get her own electric guitar. But a snowstorm occurs, her parents who work too much forget about picking her up on time, and she gets stranded at school. Her good buddy (Danny Glover) and his dog (the school janitor) find out and head to her aid but some robbers who are on the loose tie him up. The little girl sets traps (think Home Alone- if Kevin had a daughter) and… you’ll have to see the rest. Super cute, a good family movie.

‘The Knight Before Christmas’ on Netflix November 21st (Netflix)

The Knight Before Christmas

Starring: Vanessa Hudgens and Josh Whitehouse. My daughter and me cannot wait for this one! As soon as we watched the trailer, we got so excited. By the way, she watched Princess Switch about 10 times last year. Ok, so a knight gets transported by a sorceress to present-day Ohio during the holidays and Brooke (Vanessa Hudgens), a science teacher helps him get accustomed to modern times. And I can’t tell you the rest because I haven’t watched it yet but I can’t wait! It premieres on November 21st.

A glimpse of Netflix’s Holiday movies for 2019 (Netflix)

A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby

Starring: Rose McIver and Ben Lamb. Here’s another movie we’re looking forward to! Everyone loves a good fairy tale and this is like watching Megan and Harry (a normal girl marries a prince and they live happily ever after) but on Netflix. First came love, then came marriage, and now- a royal baby! Premieres on December 5th.

Oldies but Goodies

‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’ trailer (Netflix)

How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Starring: Jim Carrey, Taylor Momsen, and Jeffery Tambor. For the first time, Netflix has added one of my favorite Christmas movies- How the Grinch Stole Christmas! Watch Dr. Suess’s classic Christmas tale come to life with this incredible cast. This film is comical, adventurous, and heart-warming. Perfect for the family.

‘All I Want for Christmas’ -Best Christmas song EVER! (VEVO)

Mariah Carey’s Merriest Christmas

This one’s been around since 2015 but I mean, you can’t have Christmas without the Queen of Christmas music, right? This is the perfect movie to play while you’re baking yummy holiday treats in the kitchen. Mariah Carey hosts this holiday celebration with lots of featured celebrity guests as they read “The Night Before Christmas.”

I hope you liked my holiday top picks on Netflix. Don’t forget the popcorn, cozy blankets, and hot cocoa!
